So I'm officially a high school graduate. I'm pretty sure anybody who reads my blog was here, or for Merediths sake was there in spirit. Anyway, graduation was great! It was short and to the point, it wasn't too hot on the field which was super nice. I didn't have to wait long to graduate...i was in the first of the batch to actually receive my fake diploma. I got to sit next to some of my best friends, Erin Greenwood, Ali Johnson, Tucker Toolson, Maxwell Rice, Aubrey Dustin, and Ryan Barton. I thought it was really nice that we all got to sit next to each other and graduate one after the other. We threw the hats and did the whole bit...I forgot my tassle...yeah i know i would! But oh well. Took a few pictures with friends, hugged a few. All I could think was THANK GOODNESS IT'S OVER!! Ha i know that some people love high school and just want to stay forever but i couldn't wait to get out. We went to dinner at some friends after, it was pretty good! Hung out and ate. Then it was time for grad night. For some reason i just REALLY didn't want to go! I was being bitter and sour and i shouldn't have, I feel really bad about that. Ali J waited for me at the school and we rode together to the place. We wondered around for a while, playing the games and getting a picture done. There was lots to do. We rode the zip line, ate food, had our fortunes done, ate more food, danced, and just kinda hung out by the fire pits. It was fun! The last hour or so there was a hypnotist, it's crazy the things that happen. I almost didn't believe in any of it until i saw it for myself. It was almost embarrassing what some of the girls did...glad i didn't get picked for it! That was grad night-we didn't get home until 5:15. I think the best part about graduation and everything was having my family here to support me. My surprise visit from Steph was amazing!! Something i definitely will never forget!! Thank you Drew!!
The week after graduation I got to go on a "Trek." We dressed up like pioneers and pushed around hand carts for three days. It was fun yet strenuous. I definitely have a bigger respect for my pioneer heritage.
I also have my summer "job" I'm kinda for weird words "nannying" for my neighbor. There are two kids-Kate and Nick. I really have a lot of fun watching them. Got to go to the Switchfoot concert last Thursday and i may or may not have cried during "Yet" the words in their songs are so amazing and really do lift me up at my lowest moments.
I'm looking forward to spending many a day at the beach, getting tan and swimming in the ocean. I think I have found my "Happy place"-I guess when I'm there it just seems like nothing can go wrong.

Give it time and you will look back at high school as a good time....and you will realize all the things that were important then (except for good friends) are really not important. You have so much good life ahead of you. Enjoy each stage of life as it comes to you. YOu are a great young woman and always part of our family. I got your back if you every need it or want it.
